Horsham Arts Council produces high quality amateur theatre entertainment for the Horsham Community and surrounding Wimmera Region.
The organisation usually produces two shows each year that has resulted in a number of proposals being assessed at the one time. This highlights the need for structured process to protect the committee and to allow a fair process for every proposal.
This procedure will detail the steps to be completed by the committee and production team and to clarify roles and responsibilities and allow the supporting documentation to be used in conjunction with this procedure.
The approval of a show by the Horsham Arts Council Committee is a process that has developed over time. This process has been documented and a series of motions exist to support the process. This document aims to stream the process into a clear, consistent and transparent process allowing the Committee to take the necessary time to assess each proposal, request further information and ensure that due diligence is completed prior to approving to fund a production.
